I was going to write a long post about my activities last night. The Maroon 5 concert (!!) I went to. But I decided that one sentence (and a few cheeky pictures) would suffice: IT WAS AMAZING. The Mercedes-Benz Arena was sold out and lit by hundreds of glow-sticks that are sold by vendors outside. My personal favorite? The Minnie Mouse glow-bow. Very popular amongst Chinese girls. Yes, they are exactly what you’re imagining: big Minnie Mouse style ears that change color. Mind blowing.
As the last picture shows, my flatmate (the brilliant cook from my earlier post) and I were miles away from the stage in the highest (and cheapest) tier. But it was still worth it.
P. S. I promise that my next post will be about something more interesting and Shanghai-related than (the most amazing and incredible) Maroon 5. I’ve been taking pictures of Fudan to be able to blog all about my experience with learning Chinese so far!
